This is a smart gym machine (resistance training) with motion sensors and programming picking up what exercise you're busy with and all data gets logged to a tablet.

Unfortunately this is the only image that was sent to me upon completion of this FORCEGAUGE machine.

I never met the client who commissioned these and worked through the party who was asked to do the mechatronics and programming.

In the beginning I was tasked with coming up with the overall look of the design after the functionality was explained to me and did many hand-sketches. This shape was chosen. I did the basic frame shape in SolidWorks and sent the files to the engineer who completed all the metalwork and mechanicals. A prototype was build and tested at the Bulls rugby team.

Some small refinements were made and the following two were built after I was commissioned to design the cover as per initial sketches.
